Hi folk, Need some help from Benelli Nova Experts.

Benelli lists the standard 20 ga lop at 14 3/8 in., same as the 12 ga. My understanding was that the 12 and 20 ga Nova's share the same stock/reciever. Implied is that the 20 ga would accept the Benelli Comfortech Plus Gel recoil pads allowing for an lop of 13 7/8, 14 3/8 (as shipped), or 14 7/8 inches. ???

The compact 20 ga is listed a 13 inches lop.

Under Benelli Parts, there are 2 replacement recoil pads for the 20 ga Nova.

Part # 61000 is listed for the standard 20 ga ONLY at an lop of 13 3/4 inches.

Part # 61001 is listed for the short stock (compact?) ONLY at an lop of 12 1/2 inches.

Questions--- Is the standard 20 ga stock lop the same as the 12 ga (14 3/8 in.lop) or is indeed a shorter stock (13 3/4 in lop)

Are the 2-20 ga replacement recoil pads shown in Parts actually shorter than the recoil pads the 20 ga Nova's as shipped? 14 3/8 vs 13 3/4 for the standard and 13 vs 12 1/2 for the compact models.

My 'gut' tells me that recoil pads listed in parts are exactly the same as the factory guns are shipped, but it would be sweet if one actually shorten 20 ga stock by swapping recoil pads.

Thanks for help.

Midwestgunworks lists for the Nova Standard 20 ga. a recoil pad for 14 1/4" lop (part#61005) and a pad for 13 3/4" lop (part#61000).

Benelli may have always had an optional lop recoil pad or changed the pads on newer guns.

Definitely take a measuring tape to the gun store before buying.

Thanks guys for posting.
