Hello, Im new to this site. I have a Model 12 20 gauge with a 2 1/2" chamber. Is there anywhere I can get shells for this gun. If not is worth keeping. I have a model 12 in 12 and 16 gauge also.

Old Western Scrounger carries 2 1/2 inchers manufactured by RWS
http://www.ows-ammunition.com/cgi-bin/store/store.cgi hopefully that link to the page will work

You could get the chamber reamed to 2 3/4

Fiocchi makes them too http://www.fiocchiusa.com/specialty.htm
Thnx Marland, those links help alot. I guess Ill keep the Model 12.
You might try Galazan's [Connecticut Shotgun]. I get the Kent/Gamebore in 2 1/2" through them. Low pressures, and the best price I could find,at the time I was checking anyway.

I want to thank you for your help. I did buy some Kent/Gamebore shells from a place in Georgia.

Double Gun Journal lists several sources for 2 1/2 inch shells. I think Kent offers them, but I may be wrong.

I've also heard guys who say they can shoot 2 3/4 inch shells in a 2 1/2 inch gun. I don't know if I recommend it, but I've read articles by those who swear by the practice.

I suppose you could reload.

Anyway, you can find shells, and you can shoot the gun. I suggest that you take the effort and get the shells. It's fun to make those hold war horses speak again.

Shooting one also gives you a great excuse, "Damn if I had bigger shells I've have nailed that one for sure". :?
