i live in southcarolina and im 14 and i am hunting by myself with a 20 gauge. i saw a monster 12 point at 70 yards away and im not sure if i could of shot it so if you have any info please notify me

70 yards? with a 20ga? Slug? yes. With rifled bbl and rifle sights. Buckshot? no.
Check your local Wal-Marts. I recently bought a 1300 20ga new on clearance for $200. Or get a two bbl Mossberg combo gun and have the best of both worlds. Bird/Clay bbl and a slug bbl.

The mark of a good hunter is NOT taking a shot when you are unsure.You ABSOLUTELY did the right thing!!!!!Our goal is a quick,clean kill.You already have something many will never obtain-the judgement of when not to shoot.I admire a youngster with the smarts to realize the game may be wounded and suffer a slow death.You are on the path to becoming a excellent sportsman 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
