Well, we're all signed up for the 2016 Nationals. 2 day rotation, and our group is a mix of classes of shooters and abilities.
We are going to arrive, check our guns in, and go to the hotel. We're going to stock up on food and drink. We're going to go to Whataburger and In/Out, and to Rudys for BBQ, along with some other favorites of ours. We're going to rent a cart. We're going to see some friends we haven't seen in at least a year, and maybe make some new ones. We're going to go through all of the vendor areas. We probably won't buy much, but then again you never know! We're going to shoot all of the 12 gauge events, only. None of us plan to win anything, except maybe a lewis class or a door prize of some sort. We're not going to the night shoots, or dinners, and we plan to be long gone before the shootoffs. This is not our profession, we have to get back to the real world to make money so we can come again in 2017.
If it rains a little, we'll get wet. If it rains more, we'll put our rain gear on. If it rains more than that and events have to be canceled, we'll either check out more vendors, or sit in the hotel, or a little of each. We still won't stay for the shootoffs, because again we know we'll never be in them.
But, above all, we'll have fun.
