THrough a little recon I have discovered a remington 597 in the trunk of my wifes car. I have used regular centerfire scopes on my 22's in the past and never really had trouble but I recently sold a 10/22 w/ a simmons pro 50 and the retical came loose like the second time the guy shot it. anyways I'm looking for a good hunting scope thinking maybe 3-9 but I'm also pondering a red dot. Also I've heard that air gun scopes are good on 22's. Also would it be ok to use a shotgun scope?

I recomend that you go back to the Simmons. I have not had any trouble with any I own. I guess you found the one in a thousand.

K4b00m recently mounted a nice Leupold on his CZ 452, and it is a beautiful thing. As if the thing wasn't accurate enough...lol.
