Just to jump onto this wagon late down the trail, I totally agree that The North American Arms derringer in both 22LR and 22WRM is well made, but with with the standard grips they are extremely hard to aim with big hands. There is an after-market folding grip available that solves that problem. Bond Arms derringers are extremely well-made and don't cut any corners on supplying hefty metal. I' m 78 y.o. and have no trouble managing recoil from my 45LC/.410. My 45-70 TC Contender is a little more of a challenge, but not all that bad with the compensator. I'm a big fan of shotshells in all available calibers for vermin.
