Hello, I know there are some out there that have sealed their guns with different products. I plan to use BC-Tru-Oil, and I am wondering specifically: (1) How do I remove the butt stock from the receiver and from the recoil pad. I may be retarded, but I see no way to do this (no screws etc.). Do I have to cut the recoil pad off or something to reveal where it's bolted together? (2) Do I need to remove the mechanical mechanism inside the foreend piece to properly seal it too, or can I just seal around it?

There are two slits in the recoil pad. About 1.5" down from the top and the same distances up from the bottom. Sort of spread the pad out and you will find them. As I recall, there are standard phillips head screws underneath. Once the recoil pad is off, you will see a large hole in the stock. IN that hole is the stock bolt.

You can just seal around the forend iron without any troubles.
