Renington finally confirmed for me that the 870 Express Synthetic 6+1 HD (#25077) does indeed now ship with the sling swivel studs as pictured on Remington's web site: http://www.remington.com/products/firea ... _specs.asp

So, unless you want to spend additional $ to get the sling swivel studs, insist on the new stock if you are going to buy one. No doubt there will be plenty of old stock around for awhile.

I guess enough of us complained that Remington finally did something.

Earlier today on another thread, John writes:

I bought the same shotgun early last month and mine didn't have the hardware either. If you go the Remington web specification page for this model you'll see just under the specifications that it says "Supplied with sling swivel studs". So, I sent an e-mail to Remington's customer service department citing the web page (and photo) and they sent hardware out N/C! You'll still need to drill and tap the stock but that's real easy to do. Tada! :D
