I have a 28" version and I have to say that that 7-3/4lbs probably isn't very far off... I have a digital bathroom scale that only does 1/2 pound incements, so I weighed myself then held the gun and re-weighed, subtract the two and came up with the weight of the gun...

With the 28" it would weigh anywhere between 7.5 and 8 lbs depending on how I stood on the scale. I tried the gun by itself but the scale isn't good enough to go that low...

...I just wish they made one without the ported barrel.

All I can say about the ported barrel is Hoppes Elite Foaming Gun cleaner and a 10GA bore brush!! Makes cleaning them much easier.

If the prorts were gone, I doubt i wouls notice any difference at all....
