Adjustable Comb and Adjustable Butt Plate
Hey guys...new to the forum, but always been a fan.
I've been a collegiate competitive shooter for a couple of years now, and bought myself a 12g Browning 525 Citori 30" about a year ago.
shot well with it, but kept being very inconsistent, and figured out the gun doesn't fit me as well as it could.
Im located in Lexington, Ky, and im looking for the best place around me to have an adjustable comb put on my gun, and a likewise with the butt plate, as i've found out that's what i need to make it fit better on my gun.
I've heard alot of good things about the boy's down in alabama, the gentlemen's gun shop i think? Just looking for some place a little closer,
Any advice will help, thanks!

Todd is a really talented gun fitter and all around great guy. Even though I do my own custom stock work, he offers help and guidance freely. Check out his web site and see when he is at a shoot close to you.

You may need and adjustable comb and a pad adjuster or... you may not. How you shoot, your gun mount, stance and body posture (shooting form) has a significant effect on the correctly fitting stock dimensions for someone of your particular size and shape.
Either Todd or Greg would do an excellent job of fitting your gun to you, although I do not know if Todd installs adjustable combs.

Thanks for the help guys, but what i was wanting to really know is that would I be able to put one on myself, or does the 525 stock have to be modded to fit the butt plate?

Not the same question at all. Chances are if you have to ask if you can do it yourself your not near a good enough wood worker to install a comb yourself. Nor do you probably have the necessary tools. An adjustable pad maybe. Depending on what corrections you need. They may be attainable without an adjustable pad also. It would be extreamly difficult to say for anyone without knowing a lot more information and or preferrably seeing your mount.
