Advice on shotgun

Hey, im a youth hunter (12 y o) and wanted to know Which would be better specifacations for my first gun. Ive already taken a fall turkey this year with a .410, but i need bigger for a good distance. If you can, take recoil into concideration ( I HATE large kicks.) ty

specs:

1:

20 gauge
modified choke
3'' chamber

2:

.410 gauge
full choke
3'' chamber

3:12 gauge
modified choke
3'' chamber

What a bout a 28 gauge? Far more effective than a .410 and almost as good as a 20 gauge.

It would help if you gave us a better idea of what you were going to do with the gun. What are you hunting with it? Do you play on using it for any of the clay sports? If yes, which ones?

i plan to use it mainly for turkey and small game.

Oh, ya i cant find any 28s around. I dont know of any gunsmith that makes them

oh, ya. did i mention that i HATE bad recoil. Not nagging or anything, just wanted to make sure u know. Got seriously turned off when i shot my dad's .338

and no, i dont plan on shooting skeet

If you hate recoil try some gas autos. I would suggest you try as many different guns as you can before you chose which one to buy. Welcome and good luck.

If I might suggest a gas operated 20 gauge! I just got my 10 year old grandson started with one and the recoil doesn't bother him at all!

ive been lookin at the semi-autos, but in p.a., theres a law that says you are limited to 3 shells in the gun(1 in chamber and 2 in magazine) and i dont know how to plug the magazine to limit it to 2

1 Firearms usually are made by a firearm company not gunsmiths.
2 shotguns with magazines come with a 3 shot limiter.
3 If recoil hurts you your going to pay a lot of money for small shells(28 .410) and a semiautomatic gun new is going to cost you at least $500.

i think im gonna go with a 20 ***** pump, any way you guys can compare that to the kick of say....a 30-30?

Mossberg 500 youth or remington 870 youth are both made in turkey models and under 300 and will fit you better.
