I am the occasional clays shooter and do not reload yet.
My question is what are the differences between the Winchester and Remington "target ammo". Like the "AA" and "Nitro" stuff. Is it just that the hulls are stronger and can be reloaded. Also are there differences in the wads used and the way the patterns are thrown in conjunction with the choke used? And what does HDCP mean under the Dram Eq. on the box? I know it is for Handicap, but is that for really good shooters or for shooters who are looking for an edge that possibly struggle a bit?
Sorry for the ignorant questions, but I noticed this last weekend. I usually buy the crappy Winchester box from Wally world, 100 rds for $14.50 or something! Just curious, thanks1

Alright, first off, the premium hulls from Rem and Win are stronger, tapered, and have a good base wad, although the new AA hulls have a 2 piece hull, which is not a good thing, since the STS hull has a 1 piece, and it is the same price. Different wads can be used depending on the amount of lead you are going to load, the amount of powder you are going to load, and there are some premium wads that have features that may give you a more even pattern. HDCP loads are hot loads for Handicap shooting, which is shooting from distances further than 16 yards. Most shooters, unless they are big into handicap shooting, will just use their standard load for handicap events.
