Anyone Load All-Brass with Smokless Powders?

My situation is I can't find a source of information as to
powders v shot or slug loads and volacieties for the
all brass hulls.
I am assuming that with the exception of wads and or oversize sabots or Plastic shot cups that a reasonable shot gun load
schedule might work.
The I.D. is larger but probably stronger than any paper or plastic
hull.
I have considered using a 11Ga. wad and nitro card over powder
the brass uses large pistol primers and I thought maybe
Unique by Alliance or whoever might work, I'v used it on pistol
loads.
Don't want to blow up. Help?

There is no reason one can not load brass shotshells with smokeless powder. You are correct, that due to them being thinner, it is best to use oversize wads. Get a 3/4" wadcutter and cut your own wads if necessary. A good over-powder wad for brass shotshells is the Ballistic Products Inc X12X wad. It seals the thinner brass shell. Use mag pistol primers. The bulky powders like Unique, Herco, etc are best. Build up the filler wads under your shot, until your over-shot on top of the shot is level with the top of the brass hull. A simple taper crimp is all that is needed. We have made this type of crimp die from pipe rearmed with a taper reamer. Don't try to roll the crimp in too much. Just enough to hold the over-shot wad tight. The Alcan/Fiocchi brass hulls I have mike .760" t0 .770" inside.

My brass is 2 7/16 long, walls avg. 0.145 thick, inside depth 2.440, OD 0.80.
I have about 162 rounds of it and I have no intention of blowing up my new Browning B/SS with it. The bores are tight and marked with 3* on the lift and 5* on the right. A special factory
custom 18 1/4" barrels, single trigger/w selecter behind trigger guard. A very fine weapon so I want to be sure of the loads.
I "could" use BP in it but the water cleanup used with it I don't
perticurlary want to risk. The brass came to me from
CowBoy Brass in Florida. I bought 2 boxes from e-bay and then ordered 4 more from Pete. I sent him a Postal Money order and
he shipped them the next day. These are MagTech brass made in Brazil whom I believe made them for Remington years ago.
That is hearsay so don't quote me. Ask him.
His number is 727 505 1173. Give him a call if you are interested.

BTW It is my intention to use sodium silicate (water glass) to seal the shells, from what I hear that is what some of the black-powder people use.

BALLARD MAKES BRASS SHOTGUN CASES IN 12 GA. & 10 GA. I DON'T KNOW IF THEY MAKE OTHER GA. OR NOT. THEY WORK FINE WITH BLACK POWDER OR THE SUBS. & WILL PROBABLY WORK FINE WITH SMOKELESS IF YOU CAN FIND ANY DATA. I DON'T KNOW OF ANY. IT WOULD BE VERY RISKY TO LOAD WITH SMOKELESS POWDER WITHOUT PRESSURE TESTED LOAD DATA. BRASS CASES ARE STRONGER BUT THEY ALSO PROBABLY RUN HIGHER PRESSURES. I HAVE BEEN TOLD FROM A RELIABLE SOURCE THAT SHOTGUN BARRELS USUALLY FAIL AHEAD OF THE CHAMBER, ABOUT WHERE THE FOREARM IS LOCATED. PERSONALLY, I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP ALL OF MY FINGERS & MY EYESIGHT.
