Hi everyone

I have just acquired a Winchester SX Model 1 and have tried to buy a few bolt buffers as this gun didn’t come with one. I have not found anywhere I can buy one that can be shipped to Australia. I have decided I will have to make one and while there are some great posts here to help, I haven’t been able to find any dimensions.

if anyone here can provide me some dimensions or suggestions it will be very much appreciated

The Winchester Super X-1 was introduced in 1974. Around 87,000 were produced until production ended in 1985. It was tough to compete with the Remington 1100 due to its high price point.

Many thanks southdakbearfan. The third one does ship to Aus. I just placed an order ( $35 shipping as a minimum - but who cares; I’d pay more if needed). It’s been a pain looking at my SX1 knowing I won’t get to shoot it till I have the part. I really appreciate you posting the link. Mark

Its good that you were able to get the part since most people in Australia can’t even own a semi-auto shotgun. Thank God for our 2nd Amendment.

Really? I’ve got two semi auto shotguns along with my 16 handguns. Thank god we don’t have a second amendment - We have no fear of firearm violence anywhere I travel in the country and that’s a great thing

I am glad you were able to obtain semi-autos and hand guns. However, many of your country folks are not as fortunate. You seem like some politicians in this country that have 24 hour armed security, but believe no one else should have guns. As long as you have yours you don’t care about the rights of others. All the best to you.
