What a day...Spent the day hunting with my youngest daughter and couldn't have asked for better. During the morning hunt I took a nice doe (she didn't want her first deer to be a doe) at 75 yards with my slug gun in a ground blind. We moved over to our tree stand for the afternoon hunt and the first deer to step out was a nice six pointer. She decided that would be her first deer. She set up and was so nervouse it took her about 5 minutes to settle down enough to take the shot. Hit him perfectly in the heart/lung with her .243 single shot. She helped in the entire cleaning process, gutting, skinning, quartering, cutting, grinding, and packaging.
