just picked up one today from a friend, its a 16 gauge full choke, rather nice wood for a russian gun metal is about 85-90%
stock is like new, what would it be worth approx.
would you say 100$is out of the way?
i believe the gun is a model ij-18, extractor model as well
The general rule of thunb for guns of current mfg. The use one in excellent condition is worth 2/3 the retail price of a new one. I'm not to famialer with the single barrels, but they are on Gunbroker for $85 and $95, New in the box.. Bushrod
I have seen 12 gauges and 20's and even the odd 410
but ive never saw a 16 listed in any of the books i have.
such as gun digest and guns illustrated
also have an o/u ij 27 in 16
cant find it either in the books.
not at all, i have a cooey/winchester single in 16 gauge, looks like day it was bought, my father bought it in 1972
and its been with us ever since, no shortage of ammo, local Canadian tire store has ammo 6.99/ box of 25 shells and also
rifled slugs for 4.59/ 5 shells.
great bird gun and shoots slugs decently as well.
I love a good single shot with ejector. If I miss on the first shot, I probably wouldn't get the kill anyway with any gun. They are simple and easy to clean. They are also safer. A real good one can be had cheap (H&R/NEF & Spartan/Baikal).
