Hi all long time no post.
Just picked up a 58 model, anyone have any info?
Were they pre or post 43 model, seems different in the ejector dept my 58 model has a central spring powering the ejectors visible when the fore end is taken off where as if I remember correctly my previous 43's ejectors were powered by individual springs as per the O/U
The gun is either a selective eject or extract depending on the position of a 'switch' located in the fore end
The gun can be made to extractor only by removing the fore end and moving the central selector lever up/ horizontal.
This will extract only the fired cartridge or (both if fully discharged) for easy manual removal by lifting the spent shell to the maximum extractor reach.
Flipping the switch down will put the gun back into selective eject mode, however on mine the left eject only is a little lazy compared to the right, but if both barrels are discharged both shells will leave the gun and be thrown the same distance! Hmm go figure???
Anyone owned one or tuned the ejectors??
A picture or two would speak a thousand words but need to work out how to post them up
Any help much appreciated
