I am looking to join a pheasant club for the upcoming season. I'm hoping to find something in the South Bay Area, but am will to go as far East as Los Banos, or North as far as Fairfield. Ideally, I'd like to buy a card with 20 or so birds to share with a friend.

Can anyone help me out with suggestions of clubs? Any idea of the cost?

You've probably done as much, or more research than I have about this, but I've been checking out the pheasant clubs in CA as well. While I don't have experience at any of them, the East Bay location at Birds Landing (Birds Landing Hunting Preserve) and Rio Vista (Hastings Hunting Reserve) seem to be closest to you. If you're willing to drive to Los Banos, those two don't seem too bad.

I already realize I'm going to have to do some driving to get out there myself this year.

I started going to Hastings Island in Rio Vista last year, every time we went we harvested nice roosters. Try looking at Rooster Ranch www.roosterranchonline.com its close to Newman
This season ill be at Hastings most of the time its a 2hr drive for me
Im gonna go check out Birds Landing next month with a friend, theyre having a DU dinner there

I've gone to birds landing this past season. I'm going to get a card there for next season. The people arer really great. Good facilities. They are always really accommodating as well.

Quail Point. Coming up 80 its not that much farther then Birds. Super flexible, good flyers, way better deal.

Couldn't agree more. Quail point is my favorite place to shoot pheasants, chukar and quail.
