My grandfather purchased a BC Miroku Singel shot shotgun in 1965 for my dad. After many years of use my dad passed it down to me in parts. I have compleatly rebuilt and restored the gun to original conditions and working order. Know I would like to return the gun to my dad as a gift, but I need help on getting information about the manufacture and approximate value.
This is what I think I know. The gun was purchased in 1965 from Montgumery Wards. It is an original BC Miroku (not an M model) model 300 single shot with a serial number in the 88k. The only incriptions on this gun are BC Miroku, Model 300, and 12 GA. It chambers 2 3/4" only, with a 32" smooth boar barrel(no adjustable choke). Deep and rich scroled engraveing (lots)on barrel, action, triger guard, and set scrwes. Black Walnut stock and fore end with chekering on both. If you have any information or could help in estimating its value. Please do. Thank you!!!! Gratewhitehunter

It sounds like you may have a gun built for trap shooting. Miroku builds all the Browning Citori guns now which includes the majority of the Browning O/U shotguns. Sorry that I can't help you with the value part.
