was at dicks sporting goods today and they had a benelli 2000sg in camoflauge for 399.00. was talking to the salesman and he told me they were a steyger (hope the spellings right) with the bennelli name on them. they were made in turkey. and the kicker is he said steyger was owned by berretta. he said berretta owned several turkish gun companys. anyone else ever heard of this. just curious and thought id pass it on and see if it was true

Yep. Beretta is the parent company for Benelli, Stoeger, Uberti and Franchi. My girlfriend's son shoots a Stoeger 2000. It is anice gun for the money. We paid less than $399 for it, though. I think the price was $359. I've seent hem at gun shows for even less.
