A couple of seasons ago my dog ran past me and caught his head in the sling on my shotgun. The gun flew out of my hand and banged across the rocks on the ground. Surprisingly only the vent rib was seriously damaged. Can anyone tell me if the factory will replace the VR on the barrel and what the cost may be?

Thanks Much

I would say they would probably fix it... but getting through to them and sending it off may take a while :) Benelli is not known for their wonderful customer service... As far as cost who knows... you'd just have to call. How old is the gun?

I just read on here somewhere that a replaced rib costs about $175.00 for matte and $250.00 for blue finishes. Just the rib was not too bad but, the barrel needs to be refinished. You may be able to find a used barrel at ebay, gunsamerica, etc..
