I see that you saw the post in the general section. Did you get your questions answered about it? When women hold off from marrying men, we call it independence. When men hold off from marrying women, we call it fear of commitment.
i know what the gun offers but i don't know yet about the quality and the very specifics. i was also wondering, i have a real deep chest. lift lots of weights! should i maybe consider buying a youth model? i do know that some of the berettta's that i've shot are a little long for me. i would appreciate anything anybody can offer. thanks
I bought a 3901 a year and a half ago. Since then I have put about 10,000 rounds through the gun and would recomend this gun to anyone. It will shoot anything you put in it(up to 3"), with very low recoil, and comes with three mobilchokes. The difference between the 3901 and the 391 is the gas system, most notably the piston. The only complaint I have about the gun is cleaning it is a pain in the @ss.
so the 3901 has the 390 operating system with the piston that falls out and can be put back the wrong way. what is so tough about cleaning the gun? i'm really interested in buying one.would you buy the 3901 over the 391 because of the price difference? just wondering
To answer your question, yes, I would buy the 3901 over the 391 because of the saved $200.00. The gun gets very dirty and it is hard to get the filth out of everywhere (get a good assortment of wire brushes). The cleaning gripe is a common complaint about the 390/391. I also own a Benelli which takes a fraction of the time to clean as the Beretta. I enjoy shooting the Beretta however, more than any other semiauto that I have shot. The 391 does have a few more options that may be important to you, such as a really neat hardcase, with five chokes, a magazine cutoff, a larger trigger opening, and an upgraded stock in both the wood and the composite. The composite stock has rubber inlays at the grip points which is really nice. I hope that this helps you make your decision. Either way you will get a fantastic gun irregardless of the cleaning issue.

Matt, actually i'm looking for a synthetic stock. i'm sold on this gun nobody has told me anything bad about the 3901. The other options aren't really a big deal to me. i only use three chokes on any of my guns anyway. i appreciate your imput. :hat :hat
I bought a 3901 synthetic model for my wife. Good shooting gun, very pleasant to shoot. Has a spacer that can be added or removed for shorter length of pull.

I bought the Mossberg 930... If I didn't but the 930 a Berreta 3901 would be sitting in my safe.

They are very reliable great shooting guns!!
