Beretta 686 Quail vs 687 Silver Pidgeon II.....

I am looking at 28 gauge guns for Sporting and Skeet. What is the difference between the rib on the field models and sporting models? 686 vs 687?

Neil, Beretta field gun ribs are 1/4" wide. Sporting guns are 3/8 or 1/2" depending on the model.
