Beretta AL391 3.5 Xtrema - what a great gun!

I bought one of these guns last Sunday and what a dream it is!. I sold my 391 30inch sporter because I was always worrying about it getting knocked about and marked while decoying pigeons. The Xtrema is finished in Wetlands Camo and has a synthetic stock with rubber grips. It really is a beautiful example of modern shotgun construction. My only query is why Beretta decided to include this as the latest in the AL391 range. On taking it apart it is apparent that this gun is significantly advanced on the original AL391 and not just a magnum chamber variant.

This is a great gun... :D

Thanks for the welcome Jay,

Congratulations on a really enjoyable forum. I have a bunch of other guns but never figured on my favourite having a plastic stock!

As time goes by I am realising that the good gun is the one you shoot well with and not the one that cost the most...

I also bought an Extrema about a month ago and I LOVE IT! I have been shooting a Remington 11-87 for ten years, but I have not even picked it up since "upgrading" to a Beretta.

I would buy the Extrema again in a heartbeat.

Any chance of a slug barrel being available for the xtrema?
