Does anyone know the year that the 12ga EELL Diamond Pigeon Sporting with scroll engraved side plates went to Optima Bore Barrels? Also I've noticed that some have a black trigger guard and black fore-end iron and some have a silver ones, is there a certain year that this change took place? I tried to find old catalogs online, but Beretta wants $5 to down load historical catalogs and I'm not sure which year to begin looking in. Hoping one of you Beretta history buffs can help. Thanks for the info, I found the EELL sporting with specifcations that I wanted, it's beautiful. I think I probably drove the dealer crazy with all my detail questions about the gun. Mike

I currently have on loan a 687 EELL Sporting 12 ga. that I'm considering making my own. The background info is much appreciated.
The one I have has the Mobil chokes, black trigger guard and fore-end hdwr. Date code (AT) 1988.
