The gun is labeled Bes-Tof-Ni. It is a side by side that seems to accept a 12 ***** shell. On the bottom of the Barrels it is stamped 3009 Belgium. The only other writing on the gun is on top of the barrels. It is stamped: Very Choice. Guaranteed Government Tested. Choke Bored.

I do not know anything about this gun's history. It was given to me from my Grandfather.

ANY information would be appreciated. I can't find anything about this gun from the internet.

Please check the link below to view pictures of this gun.

Look at the name again, and see if it could be Bes-Tof-Al. In other words, "Best of all".

I found that name on the 'net, but no information about it. http://www.earmi.it/armi/database/brand_b.htm

I suspect it is one of thousands of brands of cheap Belgian "Guild guns" that were imported to the US. Note that the inscriptions are in English, so it clearly was made for export. Please don't take offense at this, but these guns are often referred to as JABC - Just Another Belgian Clunker. Yours is certainly nice looking, but you better get a gunsmith to check it out before you try to shoot it. Whether it is JABC or a nicer gun, it certainly was not made to take the pressures of modern shells.
