OK, so I don't want your honey hole; but I just moved here and I know that we're a long ways from season. I want to know where are some places to shoot WILD quail and I'm also looking to shoot a few ruffed grouse. I know both aren't plentiful but I'll do A LOT of walking and I also have two good dogs.

We've got Quail?? I heard some a few years back...I think! Shoot geese..We've got them, boy, do we ever.

Find a preserve, pay your money and shoot their birds.

Not trying to be a jerk, just saying that the only birds are where people are actively working habitat for them, and they're not doing that for free on public land.

My neighbor has started a Hunting preserve. Hunter farms Hunting preserve in Allons, Tn. Not sure of your location but I can get you his number if you are interested.
