I shot w/ him once. A 50 bird Fitasc shoot. He broke all 50 w/ 50 shells. Never had to fire a second time. I came in 2d w/ a 42. They were testy targets.

He is a heck of a good shot had some serious maturity issues. Hopefully this issue is behind him forever and we can see how far up the ladder he can go. I think he has the ability to reach the top. If he dosen't get in his own way.

I was squadded with him Tues and Wed for FITASC. Chilly, windy weather (34F when we started). He is a machine! He shot 24 & 24 Tues and 23 & 24 Wed. He was very friendly and joked with folks. He told me I was on the birds, but losing the line or pulling off with the wind (gusts to 30mph). He seemed like one of the guys. I would shoot with him anytime.

Shot Friday also. Wind and birds (technical and edgy, crossover eye candy, variable flight with strong wind gusts) put the test out there. Top tier folks hanging in there, the rest of us are 15-25 birds off normal scores. Rick runs a great shoot and he doesn't throw give aways. There is something sneaky going on even if you don't recognize it until you are back in the cart.

MC,
I am not shooting the Main (there are near 600 doing it) but some of my friends are in it. Based on their scores, it is likely a test.

The FITASC was a test. There were birds hunting dirt after being edgy to start and some incomers that waffled up and down in the wind, or transitioned in and out of the sunlight on edge before turning with a drop. Targets were sliding toward or away, but not obvious on one part of the Parcour, but readily evident from another.

Interestingly, the 12ga sub was some of the most technical targets with only a couple longer targets. Lots of edge or crossing early true pairs. Had to make choices and be cognizant of the wind pushing some of the second birds.

I had a great, but humbling time. On some stands, I couldn't hit my backside with both hands if I had a map.
