Newb to this forum as of today: A couple questions for you Browning 2000 owners.

- I have 2 of these and I love them. I am setting one up for turkeys. It's the long Full choke 3 inch magnum special steel barrel. I am wondering if it can handle TSS loads?
- Also wondering if these barrels can safely be tapped for choke tubes? I have 5 barrels and was thinking about sending one to the gunsmith.

I am not familiar with TSS loads.
Two of my brothers bought B2000 12 ga guns back in the 80s. They have shot many hundred pheasants with them and they are still great guns. One brother recently picked up a 20 ga. I believe they are not as common.
Others will chime in and probably have different thoughts. I have shot a few turkeys with shotguns and many with a bow and arrow. I found that it was not necessary to go to all expenses of fancy choke tubes, 3' or 3.5" copper or nickel plated buffered shot to kill turkeys. For me a full or even a Mod choke with 1.25 - 1.5 ounces of 4,5, or 6 shot worked great.
Good luck.

It is yes to both. See the Browning site. http://www.browning.com/support/frequen ... otgun.html

See Barrel OD needed from Mike Orlen.
