My brother recently purchased a model 2000, and needs some info. on it, since we have no experience with this model, and none of our friends do, either. It has a very unusual mechanism. Anything you could tell us would be a big help. He bought it 'cause he got a good deal, he thinks.

You really need to take Conman's advice. They are a fine shotgun, but a little unique. Remember in order to shoot 3" shells you need a 3" bbl, same goes for 2.75" you need a 2.75" chamber. Can not shoot 2.75" shells in a 3" bbl. That being said one can still find extra bbls. I have 1-3", 2-2.75"ers, one of them being a deer bbl. I like the shotgun very much and I'm not in to autos. Also go to the Browning site here on Shotgunworld.
