It appears to be a 1969 Lightweight. It was not manufactured with the finish it has. It has been coated with some type of cerakote type finish. Likely a good gun to hunt with its value has been reduced by doing so. It has no value at all to collectors. I’d maybe go $300 on it.

With the proper friction ring set-up (you can look this up on your computer), the shotgun should function with any commercially made shells. The Browning and FN A5s have a great reputation for reliability and long life. Enjoy!

If you want to know the barrel length, close the bolt, stick a tape measure down the barrel, and measure it. Or stick a wooden rod down the barrel and mark the length and measure it on the rod.
