I found an add in the local classifieds today and it says browning 20ga auntomatic gold trigger lots of engraving 1967 $550.00

I emailed the lady and she said it was a A5 hump back and would take $500 for it. Depending on condition what kind of money does this gun bring?

If it was in real good shape, I'd snatch it up for $500.

I've seen A-5's go from $250 to $1100 depending on condition, gauge, features, condition, etc. The nicer ones locally seem to float around the $500 mark.

A nice A5 20ga Lightweight with a vent rib is worth well $500. You said "lots of engraving". If the gun is above a grade one, you should jump on it.

Starting at $500:

If it has a plain barrel, subtract about $100.

If it has an aftermarket choke,subtract about $200.

The barrel legnth can effect the value,too. For example a 28" Skeet barrel can add about $200.
