I recently bought one myself. I got the same but with a 26" bbl. I've only taken it out once (2 rounds trap, 1 round sporting clays) and I still have to get used to it. It's MUCH nice than the shotgun I was using previously.
One reason to purchase for me, is that my Dad and son are lefties. It's a neutral handed shotgun.

That's a nice gun. If you want a Browning Invector Plus Skeet choke for it, I will sell you one that came with my XS Skeet for $10.

i hear that. Its another reason i got this gun was cause i am left handed plus i like the safety switch on the top. Also my dad can shoot it even though he is right handed. It also has more barrel options for it than the remy did which was just one barrel being a 20 inch rifle sighted deer barrel. I also like the feel of it better than the remy

My wife bought me one for christmas about 10 years ago. Mine has 28in regular invector barrel with the machine engraving on the receiver. Nice guns......

I bought one a couple months ago in 28ga and absolutely love it. I would put the quality and smoothness of the action up against anything I've handled. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

A guy at our club picked on up, used, literally without a mark on it. ("stole" it for the price he paid, I never seem to get those deals  )

This one has very nice wood.

He's used it on the trap range for several months; its working fine and he likes it a lot.

Well - I'm the exception. Mine never did feel right. Had a manufacturing defect in the feeding mechanism that made it a single shot when I bought it. Had that fixed after 2 trips to the smith. I handled other BPS's at stores that all felt smoother then mine. I guess I got the lemon.

It was a very nice looking gun. Limited production with the engraving on the receiver..

I really wish that gun makers made more left handed models. At least they are making the safety reversible. I sold my BPS and bought a Browning Classic Gold. This gun can be fitted to me better with shims.. I don't even notice the shells ejecting.

From everyone that I talk to, I am the exception with their BPS experience.. I bet you will love yours.

The BPS's Ithaca-derrivitive action design is quite elegant. It's nice that they didn't have to cut the reciever on either side.

I was wondering if it'd make it tougher to clean? I'm about to part with my Benelli SBE and might consider one in 10ga to replace it...

I have an Ithaca 37 (identical action to the BPS-originally designed for Ithaca by the immortal John M. Browning) and have no problems cleaning my gun. If you're going to remove the action from the receiver there is a specific order in which to do it but it's really simple.

if i parted w/ my sbe for a bps i would miss the sbe . . .but more to your question . . .i bought an old 12ga. bps for my dad . . .fixed modified choke . . .smooth shucker and solid . .perfect for my leftie dad . . .cleaning is another issue . i believe you must remove the trigger group to get the bolt out . . .the trigger group is difficult to re-install . .drove me and my gunsmith about nuts till i took it home and finally got it . . .but as you pobably know you don't need to take it down that far for routine cleaning . . .the fixed choke gun i bought for dad was only $281 . . .hard to pass up . .dad loves it (especially since i clean it for him) . . .i hunted with a father son team for snowgeese and they both use 24 or 26 inch barelled 10 ga. BPS's . . .they love em. a little heavey though as can be expected . . .but sbe can throw the same shot charge

Oh, I'm picking up a Teknys in addition to the BPS, and I won't miss the SBE. It doesn't fit me...

I still want to have a dedicated waterfowl gun. The SBE was it, now maybe it'll be the BPS in 10ga.
