O.k. guys, can someone give me the lowdown on the Browning BPS 12 ga.? I have shot Citoris for many years, and love them., but pumps and semi-autos have always been my Remingtons. Kicking around buying a BPS, What do you think. (I am concerned a little about the breakdown for cleaning them, or should I be?) 8) Thanks!

I have two and think they are fine guns. Keep the outside metal oiled and take the barrel off and spray the action out with clp a couple times a year or if you hunt in the rain, keeping the cleaner off the wood. You should not have to take it apart any more than removing the barrel unless you drop it in the river

I hunted with a bps many times and they are great guns. You worried about the break down of the gun, once you learn how it becomes second nature no mater how complicated the gun is.
My advise is to buy the best bps you can afford because that will be the last pump shotgun you buy if you take good care of it.
