The 3 inch chambers were introduced in 1955 so they are probably factory ... as far as the chokes ... I am not sure if it will affect the gun value ..... MarlandS?

I recently bought a Superposed 12 ga. The serial # makes the gun a 1955 built. I am suprised to see a 3" chamber on a 1955 shotgun. I am wondering if the 3" chamber was common when this gun was built and if the fact someone added choke tubes to this gun hurt the value?

Were the 3" chambers standerd on the Superposed in 1955.

- 12 ga. only, 3 in. chambers, 28, 30, or 32 in. barrels with raised or vent. rib, recoil pad standard, introduced in all Grades in 1955.
Grading 100% 98% 95% 90% 80% 70% 60%
12 ga. $1,850 $1,500 $1,200 $1,000 $825 $775 $725
This model with 30 in. barrels is now popular again, as Sporting Clays shooters like this desirable configuration.
