I have this on the Trap/Skeet/Sporting Clays section but this might be a more appropriate place for my question;
I am looking for some feedback on this topic.
I have seen a few BT 99's over the past 30 years that have some "play" in them when they are closed and locked up.
I don't know if this is from hinge pin wear or wear on the locking surfaces; or if it is from abuse, tinkering, poor maintenance, a LOT of shooting or the luck of the draw on a few guns.
I would be interested to know if anyone else has seen this and has some good information on it.
My reason for asking is that I have always liked BT 99's but it is one of the few guns I have liked that I have not owned. I may correct that one day and so would like to determine if this is a trait or a rare occurance.
