Yep, they are a good, reasonably inexpensive single barreled trapgun, that's what their purpose is and they do it well.

In my opinion,it is very hard to beat a BT99 as a dedicated trap gun for the money.

Like the guys above said, it's a rock solid gun. Very low maintanence, strong resale if you don't like it, and well made. Try both barrel lengths (32 & 34") before you buy. To me, I like the 34 as I am 6-2 and it smoothes out my swing. YOur mileage may vary.

Yup, I got one, 29 years old and still crushing targets (when I do my part).

I have one and love it. You can spend a LOT of money getting one of the Italian or K guns. But for the money,, you won't beat a BT-99. I have had NO maintence problems, NO breakdown and No alibi's. I have seen a lot of the VERY expensive Trap guns break down many times and the owners taking a trip to the Gunsmith's booth.
