Gun will open only about a 1/2 inch and stops. nothing is broken or missing. Any ideas? would greatly appreciate any help.

Firing pin may be broke and hanging out and catching the barrel as you open it, hold the gun muzzel up, bump the stock with your hand, andten try to open it see if that works for you
