Buying a gun online or classified

Question - when purchasing a gun online or through a forum like this, must one still pay taxes on the gun, or only the FFL fee?

The dealer is only supposed to collect the FFL fee unless you are actually buying the gun from him. I've heard of some dealers trying to collect the tax on unsuspecting patrons. If you dealer is telling you different, find another one.
