a friend told me its easy to change the safety from right hand to left hand on a Mod 37 deerslayer, anyone here have a step by step ??

Actually, it's NOT that easy....I'd have a gunsmith do it before I'd try it myself. If you are dead set on doing it yourself, you can find instructions here:

It is actually much simpler that these instruction would make it seem. You do not have to completely disassemble the shotgun to change the safety button; you don't even have to remove the trigger group from the receiver. The difficult part might be obtaining a left handed safety button, as the right handed button cannot be simply turned around. Always be very careful when removing a safety button. There is a spring and plunger that like to escape. You might do this in a well lit bathroom, with the door and toilet closed and the sink stopper in.
