When using a 20 ga for skeet should you use a skt choke or due to the lesser amount of shot go with an IC to keep the shot in a tighter pattern?

Most use skeet. It has nothing to do with the "lesser" amount of shot. A 20 is more than enough for skeet. Personally, I vary from .005/.007 to .007/.010 (under/over). I am a "one-holer."

Yes, the standard 20 ga load is more than enough for skeet. If you are loading your own, try going down to 3/4 oz of #9 shot and see how much the recoil is lessened while you break the targets just as well. I use the same powder charge as for 7/8 oz and get a fine looking reload. Floyd in Vienna
