Hi all, I have a modern hammer gun (Bernadelli Italia) that I plan on using for duck hunting. The problem is, the gun is choked Full/Mod. I don't think I'll be able to tube it (the bbl diameter is to small -.800 outside). I think my only option is letting out the chokes.

What do you all think if I let them out to .002 and .007? Do you think it will be ok using 1 1/8oz of #2 steel only.

Your thoughts please.

Why not use Bismuth, Kent Impact, or Hevi-Shot Classic and leave the chokes alone?

Hi, to be honest, I just can't afford $3 a pop for some of the good non-tox. I have some, but, boy not on a regular basis.

.002 and .007 will work fine but if it were my gun I would go with .005 and .010. Still OK with steel and also for lead during early pheasant season
