Hello,

I was wondering what would be a good shotgun for clay shooting/duck hunting? i would like one with not a strong kick, any ideals?

Here you go. There are a ton of threads out here on that subject and this is a question we get quite a bit.

Remington 1100 or 11-87 in 12 gauge.

Shoot 1oz loads @ clays
Shoot 1 1/4 oz Hevi-Shot loads at Ducks.

Remington 11-87 12 gauge because it has 3" chamber for ducks.

Good, reliable,gun.

IMHO ducks do not require 3" chambers. So, either gun would be a fine choice.

They are both good reliable guns. I have both--and several of one. Both, being semi-automatics, will deliver minimal recoil (assuming they have reasonable fit) with reasonable loads.

While I haven't hunted ducks in almost a decade--for almost two decades prior I brought home more than my share of ducks with 2.75" loads.

From what I've read, I would do even better today with Hevi-shot! That stuff is going to make magnums a thing of the past!
