IMHO ducks do not require 3" chambers. So, either gun would be a fine choice.
They are both good reliable guns. I have both--and several of one. Both, being semi-automatics, will deliver minimal recoil (assuming they have reasonable fit) with reasonable loads.
While I haven't hunted ducks in almost a decade--for almost two decades prior I brought home more than my share of ducks with 2.75" loads.
From what I've read, I would do even better today with Hevi-shot! That stuff is going to make magnums a thing of the past!
