hello, when cleaning my 12 gauge over and under (beretta) - do i remove the chokes when i clean the barrels? or do i leave them in when cleaning?

It is generaly recommended to leave the choke tubes in when cleaning the barrels to avoid damaging the threads or pushing debris from the barrels into the threads. However after cleaning the barrels remove the choke tubes and clean the tube and internal barrel threads with solvent and I use a nylon brush (similar to a tooth brush), after cleaning be sure to use an appropriate lube on the threads before reinserting the tubes.
