I just purchased a new Lanber 2097. Of course it has the oiled stock and stampted scroll work on the receiver.

My questions are: How should I clean the outside of the receiver properly? It seems to have a film on it now. Also as to the stock. Can i use a furniture oil such as liquid gold to keep the stock oiled and polished?

I'm sure these questions are probably dumb but I don't want to screw it up from the start.

I truly appreciate any feedback.

I just wipe down the exterior of my guns with a silicone gun cloth...both stock and metal, never had a problem. 8)

Yes, any decent furniture polish should work fine! :)
 After all it's just wood isn't?
