Hi there,

Your best bet is to request an owner's manual from the shotgun company themselves. A lot of the major manufacturers also offer online versions in PDF format.

Cleaning a double-barrel shotgun is relatively the same for most brands, but semi-autos vary slightly from company to company and model to model, so it would be harder to give a "universal" answer.

Perhaps if you tell us what model shotgun you have, those of us with the same gun can tell you how we do it... :D

Another way is to go to Remington's web site and under Safety go to Shotgun Basics and it will show you how to clean your gun . Other than that I can't help you because I never have owned a semi-auto.

Use Breakfree CLP and the inhibitor for all your gun cleaning needs

BTW the Remington site is a great teaching tool.

A shotgun site without cleaning instructions? Blasphemous
Try our link at http://www.shotgunworld.com/arc_guncare_062100.html

Otis has MPEG's and PDF's on their site at

One tip for ya...don't watch a horror movie while you're taking your shotgun apart. You might be distracted and have trouble remembering how everything goes back together. Don't ask me how I know this.

Hope it helps.
