Hi
I purchased a used Remington 1100 and would like to get a rough estimate of value and possibly pin down the date of manufacture. What information do you need from me?
Thanks

We'd need Serial number (make the last two didgits x's for security) , gauge, barrel style (VR or Plain) , configuration ( field , trap, etc) , overall condition, and anything else you think might be helpful.

While we are at it, can someone tell me the year of manufacture for a Remington 1100 Serial # L221585V.

Thank you.

Anyone?
Thanks in advance.
Grading 100% 98% 95% 90% 80% 70% 60%
$350 $295 $265 $225 $200 $185 $170

Last MSR was $545.
Subtract $40 if without VR.
Subtract $45 if without Rem. chokes.

I'm not good on the dating Remingtons.. maybe the couple of guys that hang here that are will see this.

Just call Remington @ 1-800-243-9700 and follow the menu to customer service. The rep. can give you the date of manufacture over the phone.
G
date is not important. depending on condition $175 to $300 topps! thats the truth!
Redman,

If the poster would like to know the date of mfg of his shotgun, why in the world would YOU tell him that it is NOT IMPORTANT?

I would assume that since he asked for the both an estimate of the value and the date of mfg, he is interested in knowing both. Both are reasonable questions. But apparently you tell him the date is unimportant?

By the way, you have posted your opinion of a number of gun values recently but you have yet to tell us with some reasonable clarity what your seemingly 'expert' opinon in based upon. Exactly what is the name of the book you publish and how many years have you published it? I would assume it must be at least 1000 or so pages and avaliable at my local Barnes and Noble? I'll look forward to purchasing it to add to your ncome.

Right? Right.
JMCCOYB, that was a good way to handle an unregistered "expert" who comes in and blows crap all over the forum.

what i meant to say that the date is unimportant in determining the value so sorry about that but i know more about realistic prices on these guns since i have been working gun shows for many a year. i just dont think it is fair to trash my comments when all the knowledge you seem to have as far as price goes is straight out of the blue book.i think the people need to know what they really have.and if you cant handle having someone else on your precious forum maybe ill just set back and laugh at your quotes, maybe :!:
Yeah I just blew your "experience" right out the window on the Browning Sweet sixteen thread.

Like I said before the Bluebook is the standard chosen for this forum but it's not exclusively used.

I do agree that on the 1100 age isn't important to pricing but n many guns it is. How would the person asking the question know that offhand?
G
very true. like i said, sorry.
