I'm trying to ID this little double recently purchased. I have a post in the Spanish gun section with pics.
the standard blue book paragraph says Davidson Imports from Greensboro, NC imported "cheap" doubles in the 60s, however, they refer to a model 63B and there are no such markings on this gun, plus it doesn't appear to be lower grade. The third proof mark appears to be a man's face with open mouth...the other two are standard proof marks from the proofing house in Eibar. Other marks are ther serial number of course, 850kg., (proof test), some choke markings (13.5, 13.2, etc.), 1170 , 6 mos....
any help appreciated,
T

Nearly all the Spanish doubles imported in the 50s and 60s were pretty low quality. Some of the Davidson guns and some Saresquetta guns reach the mediocre status..Bushrod
