Weather over the weekend here was windy and wet. I'm installing a new Humminbird Helix fishfinder and getting ready for walleye season. It starts first low wind day I'm free.

Also now that daylight savings time is here I'll be working on improving my shooting for next years duck and dove season. Our club only has nighttime skeet shooting.

You must be out here visiting. Before I moved to Moses Lake, Samammish was about 30 minutes away from where I lived. Also, I bet you just love the traffic.

I was out yesterday watching youngsters hunt ducks and later over at the Pheasants Forever early pheasant hunt for the kids. I soon will be a card carrying member of Pheasants Forever, once they mail me the membership card.

Today is the dreaded "chores" so I can get free tomorrow when the senior pheasant hunt starts.

DAMN, I wish we could have gotten together and done some sporting clays shooting. Next time we are out, we will have to get together, I could borrow one of the guns Tim got from me, and do some shooting.

I bet you don't forget those who are WA state members in the future.

I was out today shooting my 2nd and 3rd pheasant since 1965.

Also, today Molly retrieved her first pheasant. but didn't want to pick the next one up. After a session with a dead one in the back yard Molly told me she likes pheasants.

Also I got word my DeHaan shotgun has been repaired and is ready to be shipped back. I've been shooting a CZ Upland Ultralight while mine has been in the shop. It's nice to have two that are stocked the same and shoot to the same POI.

I've been out the past couple of days scouting out duck ponds nearby. Yesterday I tried to find a pond we hunted last year and I took a wrong turn some where in the desert and missed the pond by about 1/4 mile. I'm walking in to it so I can put a waypoint and a trail on my GPS so I can find it in the dark. Season here opens up in a tad over a week.

I would love to have a seasonal summer job at Sportsman's Warehouse but I don't believe they hire seasonal workers.

Sitting in the Salt Lake City airport trying to get home to Arizona from a six day trip to Miami, Fl for a long over due family reunion. I say "trying to get home" because we fly standby, for free, as our son is a pilot with Skywest, an affiliate of Delta. Right now waiting to see if we can get on the next flight to Phoenix.
No, but they hire part time. That's what I got.

Found out how to get a break from work (but I didn't need it). Got another detached retina and have to stay home for two weeks. I'm supposed to keep my head down for 5 days and thats worse than waterboarding. The clock goes tick.....tick...tick.. Makes time seem to go slower than when I was married to my first wife.

Ordered a new camo jacket today for the upcoming waterfowl season. Now I understand what my wife used to say abou saving money buying things on sale. This new job at Sportsman's Warehouse is kinda saving me money. I don't have any $$$ (left) to show for it but I have found some real good deals.

I actually did this on Friday and am a day late. I recently bought a Shotkam and took it skeet shooting Friday morning for two rounds. It showed I wiggle the gun around too much prior to calling for the clay. Watching the video afterwards seemed to be more fun than actual skeet shooting.

Been looking, pondering one myself. Just wasn't sure it would be worth the cost, glad to hear you are enjoying it. Still undecided but like the positive report.
I think there will be something to learn once dove season opens. They don't fly the same as clays on a skeet range. I expect to see a lot of shots behind the dove.
